My wife, I and other 2 friends wanted to have a group experience in Africa, and we planned to visit the mountain gorillas in Rwanda and Uganda. We then planned our gorilla trekking tours in Rwanda and Uganda. This experience offered us an opportunity to see the mountain gorillas 2 times in Rwanda and Uganda and visiting 2 different gorilla families, and as we arrived in Africa, we started our safari from Rwanda and upon our arrival at the Kigali Airport we meet our guide Baker, ready waiting for us.
As excited to be in Africa, next we took our eyes to see what car was arranged to take us on safari, and as Moses, had promised us safari jeep we were very happy to jump into our jeep to start the unforgettable safari in both Rwanda and Uganda and combining the visit to the mountain gorillas and wildlife of Africa in Queen Elizabeth National Park. Later after being picked from the airport in Kigali, we begun with the Kigali city tour visiting the Rwanda genocide memorial and from here you experience the total loss of lives in Rwanda by that time.
Then, with our en-route lunch we transferred to Volcanoes National Park, and upon our arrival we checked in to our lodge and we stayed at the Laplame Hotel, and while at this hotel the first thing in place is the service quality which include the hospitable waiters and waitress, the Wi-Fi internet and this enabled me to highly communicate to my parents in Mexico via what’s up app on my IPhone. Then after our dinner, Baker our guide briefed us for the next day program, and early in the morning we had our breakfast and our ordered packed lunch arranged into our parcels, later embarked the safari jeep and transferred towards the park headquarters for the briefing about the mountain gorillas and the park as well. Later in our group of 08 people entered into the park to trek the mountain gorillas, visiting the Amahoro group and upon meet with the primates we took photos and video and the family had big number of juvenile infant gorillas which were so much playful and one came to us smiling and the ranger ordered us to not look into the eyes of the gorilla and move backward slowly.
Us being adventurous we arranged with Moses such we have another experience at the volcanoes and he later advised us to take the Karisimbi hike which took us 1 day hiking and stayed camping into the slopes of the mountains and then the following day descend down to our lodge where we had to have enough relax before we transferred to Uganda for our second gorilla tour in Uganda. After our breakfast, we transferred to Uganda via Cyanika border and with our lunch at the T-Junction in Kisoro and then later transferred to Mutanda Lake Resort for our overnight stay, and then later in the next day took the second gorilla trekking tour in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and visit the Nkuringo group at the Nkuringo side and then the following day transferred back to Kampala and overnight stay at Cassia Lodge. Then we had the next day we had free day at the lodge relaxing viewing all the seven hills of Kampala.
