10 Day Flamigoes In Lake Nakuru and Uganda Gorilla Safari combines Gorilla tracking in Uganda with a classic safari in Kenya and you’ll visit several other highlights on route. It is the trip of a lifetime!
Day 1 – Nairobi
Arrival and pick up by the comapany representative ,You will be given the tour pre-departure meeting at the Airport thereafter you continue to your hotel for overnight.Overnight at Hennesis Hotel (Breakfast)
Day 2 – Lake Nakuru
7.30am – After early breakfast depart for a morning game drive in the reserve, en-route to the gate. Drive a western direction. As you ascend the eastern wall of the rift Valley, lush coffee and tea plantations reveal themselves and your driver-guides will give you a brief talk about coffee farming in Kenya. 11.30pm – You will be driven to lake nakuru for your lunch. 14:00pm – You will leave the campsite in nakuru for the game drive in the park, in search for the big five animals i.e lion, rhino, leopard and cheetah and more other animals. Lake Nakuru is famous for its millions of flamigoes and migrant birds from over the world, in Nakuru we have upto 425 different bird species. You will leave back to the Hotel before dark for your dinner and overnight. 7.30pm – Dinner in the hotel. Overnight at: Lake Nakuru Guest House (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner).
Day 3 Lake Nakuru – Bungoma
You will wake up in the morning after your breakfast you will be drive to lake Bogoria for the hot spring which where form due to volcanic activities.overnight at Bungoma Drip Hotel (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner).
Day 4 Bungoma-Kampala
After breakfast, we will transfer to the Malaba border ,then drive we will transfer to the capital city of Kampala, and spend some time strolling around the craft markets and getting to know the locals.Overnight at Holiday Express Hotel (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner).
Day 5 & 6: Kampala – Kabale/Lake Bunyonyi
After morning breakfast you will drive down to Kabale Uganda’s highest town (2000 m), with beautiful, lush scenery along the way. We will camp at Lake Bunyonyi, Africa’s deepest crater lake (900 m). Bunyonyi means “place of little birds”, so you can expect to view interesting and unique birdlife. This is an excellent resting point before the gorilla trek. In the evening, we will have the option of canoeing on the lake. NOTE: you will be free to visit orphanage children in the area village (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner) at Lake Bunyonyi Overland Resort.
Day 7: Gorilla Trek
Enjoy a beautiful drive over the mountains, as we transfer to our base in Kisoro, on the southwestern tip of Uganda. Enjoy a relaxing evening as we prepare for the trek ahead. Today we embark on the experience of a lifetime. Trek through the early morning mist in the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, home to roughly half of the world’s remaining 700 mountain gorillas. The trekking can be demanding and the day long – a water bottle and good walking shoes or boots are highly recommended. Experienced local guides will lead us through the thick mountain jungle. Once we locate the gorillas, we will stay and observe them for about an hour – this time is strictly governed by the Uganda Wildlife Authority. Photography is permitted (although not the use of flash, and there are restrictions the use of video cameras), but with or without a camera, this is one of the most breathtaking and emotional experiences Africa can offer, and certainly one that will remain with you long after your journey. Day 8- Kabale/Lake Bunyoni To Kampala
Today we transfer back to Kampala, arriving just in time to enjoy some of the nightlife this city has to offer.

Day 9 – Kampala – Lake Naivasha
On the morning of Day 9 we continue back to Lake Naivasha – green crater lake. Thereafter you will be driven to the great rift valley whereby you will be given time to stop for the good photo taking of the great rift valley view point. You will arrive in lake Naivasha fisherman’s campsite. you will settle down waiting for your lunch, thereafter you will be driven to the green crater lake which was formed due to volcanic activities. The colour is naturally green due to volcanic chemicals such as sodium and sulphur. Otherwise we have also a lot of flamigoes to see when getting the breeze watching the bird and flamigoes moving along the lake side. Afterwards you will be taken to the park accompanied by the guide to walk between the wild animals like giraffe, zebra, impalas, eland -the biggest antelope- and many other animals. This is the only park you will get time to walk as close as 5-4 metres between the wild animals, Otherwise we don’t have big cat and the park is secured by the range. Overnight at Carnelley’s Camp (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner).
Day 10 – Depart to Nairobi
Transfer back to Nairobi for your flight home. Tour ends in the afternoon.
